The City of Apopka announced on May 12 that the Apopka Splash Pad at Kit Land Nelson Park will be closed from May 18 through May 24 for resurfacing. The closure is part of scheduled maintenance aimed at keeping the facility safe and clean for visitors.

The temporary closure is intended to allow crews to complete improvements that help ensure the splash pad remains enjoyable for community members. The city said it appreciates residents’ patience during this period.

“We appreciate your patience as we complete these improvements to keep the splash pad safe, clean, and enjoyable for our community. Thank you for your understanding,” city officials said in a statement.

Residents are encouraged to check the Apopka Splash Pad website page for updates about reopening and future notices regarding park amenities.

The resurfacing project reflects ongoing efforts by local authorities to maintain recreational spaces in good condition and provide a positive experience for families visiting public parks.
