The City of Apopka announced on May 20 that the intersection at Binion Road and Harmon Road will be converted to an all way stop on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. The change is intended to improve safety for drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists in the area.

According to the city, advance warning signs will be posted for about two weeks before the change takes effect. Variable message boards will also remind drivers of the upcoming traffic pattern adjustment.

On installation day, crews are scheduled to place new stop signs and ‘all way’ plaques on every approach to the intersection. The city urges motorists to slow down, follow posted signs, and use extra caution as everyone adapts to the new traffic pattern.

“Thank you for your patience as we work to keep our roadways safe and efficient,” said a statement from the City of Apopka Public Works Department.

Residents seeking more information are encouraged to contact the Public Works Department at 407-703-1731.
