U.S. Representative Cory Mills, who serves Florida’s 7th district in Congress, recently posted a series of messages on social media addressing military and veteran affairs as well as community events.

On August 4, 2025, Mills recognized the anniversary of a major branch of the U.S. armed forces, stating: “Happy 235th Birthday to the U.S. Coast Guard! ️ We’re proud to have part of the beautiful Atlantic Coast in Florida’s 7th District, and the Coast Guard serves us exceptionally well. From search and rescue to maritime security, your dedication keeps our”.

Two days later, on August 6, 2025, Mills reflected on his participation in a local event focused on supporting veterans: “I was deeply honored to attend the 1st Annual Ruck and Rise Expo last weekend! This incredible community event brought us together to combat veteran suicide through awareness, connection, and support. It was inspiring to see our community rally around our veterans and first”.

Later that same day, Mills addressed an incident at a military installation with a message of support for those affected: “I’m devastated by the unfolding tragedy at Ft. Stewart. Please join me in praying for the victims, their families, our military, first responders, law enforcement, and all those still responding on the ground.”

Cory Mills has represented Florida’s 7th district since 2023 after succeeding Stephanie Murphy. Born in Winter Haven in 1980 and currently residing in New Smyrna Beach, Mills continues to engage with both national defense issues and local community concerns as part of his congressional role.
