Cory Mills, U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 7th district since 2023, posted a series of tweets in early August 2025 addressing veteran suicide awareness, media criticism, and legislative action against what he describes as “propagandized media.”

On August 3, Mills expressed gratitude for organizations supporting veterans: “Thank you to Operation 22 and DFQ for hosting the Veteran suicide awareness ruck. It’s such an honor to donate and be a part of one of the most important causes in America. We must prioritize those who serve in uniform (military & first responder) and those who’ve served “

Later that day, on August 4, Mills criticized journalist Roger Sollenberger via social media: “Imagine calling yourself a “journalist” @SollenbergerRC and yet can’t source easily available photos. Perhaps that’s bc you’re just an anti-Trump leftist and should find a new hobby.”

In another post on August 4, Mills called for legislative action regarding media regulation: “Repeal Smith-Mundt Modernization Act and stop the Obama propagandized media. Time to end fake news and watch the tears fall on all of fake journalist! Bring my bill to the floor for a vote! “

Mills was born in Winter Haven, Florida in 1980 and currently resides in New Smyrna Beach. He succeeded Stephanie Murphy as representative for Florida’s 7th district.
