Cory Mills, a U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 7th district since 2023, has recently shared his perspectives on several significant issues through social media. Mills replaced Stephanie Murphy in Congress and continues to engage with topics ranging from military readiness to international diplomacy.
On June 12, 2025, Mills expressed his support for Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, highlighting the Secretary’s efforts in maintaining a “lethal ready military.” In his tweet, Mills noted that Hegseth was “sharp and strong” during a hearing with the House Armed Services Committee Republicans, adding that he is honored to work alongside him for the American people.
The following day, June 13, 2025, Mills discussed the Rescissions Act of 2025 in another post. He described the act as a “game-changer,” emphasizing its potential to cut trillions in wasteful spending. The bill aims to reduce contributions to international organizations like the United Nations and rescinds funds allocated to the World Health Organization and UNRWA.
Later on June 13, Mills commented on international relations concerning Iran’s nuclear program. In his tweet, he highlighted the pressure on Iran’s leaders to comply with International Atomic Energy Agency regulations. He stressed the importance of finalizing an agreement with President Donald Trump and the United States to permanently abandon any nuclear ambitions.
Cory Mills was born in Winter Haven, Florida in 1980 and currently resides in New Smyrna Beach.
