Daniel Webster, a longstanding U.S. congressman representing Florida’s 11th district, has shared a series of tweets commending recent political actions and acknowledging the United States Coast Guard. Having served in various political capacities since 1980, Webster provides insight into current political developments.

On April 29, 2025, Webster extended his gratitude to the former president in his tweet, “Thank you @realDonaldTrump”. This brief acknowledgment reflects his continued support and appreciation for the former president’s leadership.

Later the same day, Webster elaborated on achievements made during the first 100 days of President Trump’s term on April 29, 2025, stating, “President Trump is getting our country back on track. In just the first 100 days, @POTUS: Secured the border – 94% drop in illegal crossings. Unleashed American energy – gas prices have fallen 6.3%. Secured trillions in new U.S. based investments, and brought back”. His tweet underscores key policy achievements such as a significant decrease in illegal border crossings, decreased energy prices, and economic commitments to U.S.-based investments.

The next day, on April 30, 2025, Webster praised the United States Coast Guard (USCG) and the recent legislative efforts to support them, highlighting their contributions in maritime security and rescue operations. In his tweet, “Nearly every week news outlets report on brave actions of our @USCG. They do a lot with a little to protect our maritime border and rescue boaters, fishermen, and more and stop illegal immigrants and drug traffickers. I am very pleased with the investments this bill provides them”, Webster applauds their actions and recognizes the importance of new investments directed towards enhancing their capabilities.

Daniel Webster’s career in public service has spanned over four decades since his election to the Florida House of Representatives in 1980. At 74 years old, Webster continues to reside in Clermont and remains active in his congressional duties while engaging with national discussions.
