Daniel Webster, a U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 11th District, has been active on social media, providing updates on recent legislative and economic developments. Elected to Congress in 2011 after serving in both the Florida House of Representatives and Senate, Webster continues to advocate for policies he believes will benefit Americans.

On April 10, 2025, Webster commented on March’s inflation report, noting positive developments. “March’s inflation report brings more good news, with inflation, gas prices, and consumer prices falling. Under @POTUS’s leadership, our economy is regaining its footing. I remain committed to advancing conservative, pro-growth policies in Congress to keep this recovery strong and…” This statement was made as economic indicators showed declining inflation and a reduction in gas and consumer prices.

Later that day, Webster reported having voted to pass a budget resolution. He declared, “I just voted to pass the budget resolution that puts America First and delivers on President @realDonaldTrump’s conservative agenda. My @HouseGOP colleagues and I are one step closer to passing ONE, BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL, to restore fiscal responsibility, let hardworking Americans…”

In a subsequent post, Webster announced the passage of the SAVE Act, which he cosponsored. The legislation aims to protect election integrity. “The House just passed the SAVE Act—legislation I cosponsored to safeguard the integrity of our elections by requiring proof of U.S. citizenship when registering to vote in federal elections. Webster has served in the U.S. Congress, representing Florida’s 11th District, since 2011. He previously served in the Florida House of Representatives from 1980 to 1998 and the Florida Senate from 1998 to 2008. Born in Charleston, West Virginia, in 1949, Webster graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology in 1971 with a Bachelor of Science and currently resides in Clermont.
