Daniel Webster, a U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 11th district since 2011, recently shared his perspectives on key legislative matters through social media posts. Webster, who succeeded Alan Grayson in Congress and has an extensive history in Florida politics, including terms in both the state House and Senate, provided insights into Medicare and Social Security protection, recent legislation targeting non-consensual image sharing, and tax policies.
On May 20, 2025, Daniel Webster expressed support for the current administration’s stance on Medicare and Social Security. He stated that “The @POTUS understands how seniors – many which live in my district – have paid into and now rely on Medicare and Social Security. We share a commitment to not pulling the rug out from under these Americans. @HouseGOP bill protects these benefits.”
Later that day, Webster highlighted the signing of new legislation by President Biden aimed at combating explicit non-consensual imagery. He remarked that “Yesterday, @POTUS signed the TAKE IT DOWN Act into law – legislation I voted to pass last month. This bill holds predators accountable for sharing explicit non-consensual images and deepfakes.” He further noted his continued efforts with colleagues to advance related initiatives from former President Trump.
On May 21, 2025, Webster addressed fiscal policies concerning residents of his district. He commented that “House Democrats are fighting to increase the taxes of FL-11 residents. I’m fighting to extend President @realDonaldTrump’s historic tax cuts to help more Americans keep the money they have earned.”
Daniel Webster was born in Charleston, West Virginia in 1949 and currently resides in Clermont. He graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1971.
