Florida A&M University’s men’s golf team will participate in the 2026 PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship, scheduled for May 4-6 at The Park in West Palm Beach, according to a May 1 announcement. The event will feature six Division I men’s teams, including Florida A&M University, Alabama A&M University, Alabama State University, North Carolina A&T State University, Prairie View A&M University and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
The championship is recognized as a significant tournament for Historically Black Colleges and Universities and other Minority-Serving Institutions. It offers student-athletes both high-level competition and opportunities to connect with career pathways in the golf industry.
Founded in 1986, the PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship has provided underrepresented talent with exposure to competitive golf and professional development over four decades. Participants receive access to career opportunities across various sectors within the sport.
Practice rounds are set for May 2 and May 3 at The Park. Competition begins on Monday afternoon with tee times starting at noon. Teams will rotate to morning starts on Day 2. Organizers plan to adjust final-round tee times so that tournament leaders finish during live broadcast windows.
The championship is presented by Chase and Kohler with support from CastleOak Securities and the Palm Beach County Sports Commission. Additional product support comes from MiiR, SCNS Sports Foods, StrackaLine, Titleist/FootJoy and Ze.
Updates about FAMU’s participation will be available through FAMU Athletics and official PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship channels throughout the week.
