Jason Brodeur, a Florida State Senator, posted a series of messages on his Twitter account in late May 2026 reflecting on national observances and the importance of community support.
On May 25, 2026, Brodeur marked Memorial Day by stating, “Memorial Day is a solemn reminder that freedom comes at a cost. Today, we remember the fallen heroes who gave everything for our nation. Their sacrifice lives through the families who carry their memory and the country they served so faithfully. May we never forget.”
Two days later, on May 27, 2026, he highlighted Mental Health Awareness Month with the message: “Mental Health Awareness Month is an important reminder to check in on our friends, neighbors, and loved ones. A simple conversation, a moment of kindness, or asking someone how they are really doing can make a difference. #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth”
On May 28, 2026, Brodeur recognized Military Appreciation Month by writing: “Our nation is blessed by the service and sacrifice of the men and women who wear the uniform. This Military Appreciation Month and EVERY month, we are grateful for all you do to defend our freedoms. #MilitaryAppreciationMonth”
Brodeur serves as a member of the Florida Senate representing District 10. Memorial Day is observed annually in the United States to honor military personnel who have died in service to their country. Mental Health Awareness Month takes place each May to raise awareness about mental health issues and promote support for those affected.
