Rep. Cory Mills, the U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 7th district since 2023, recently addressed his constituents and the public through a series of posts on social media covering topics from local tragedy to national remembrance.
On November 2, 2025, Mills commented on a violent incident in Sanford: “Saddened to hear of the tragic shooting in Sanford. Join me in praying for the victims and their families. I am always grateful for the swift response of our first responders and law enforcement officers working to bring justice and protect our people.”
Later that day, he acknowledged the contributions of military personnel during National Veterans and Military Families Month: “This November, we honor and thank our nation’s heroes and their families for their extraordinary service and sacrifice to defend our freedoms and protect our great nation.

On November 4, Mills expressed condolences following news of a prominent political figure’s death: “Former Vice President Dick Cheney has passed away. I am extending my prayers and condolences to his family and those who knew him best.”
Cory Mills was born in Winter Haven, Florida in 1980 and currently resides in New Smyrna Beach. He succeeded Stephanie Murphy as representative of Florida’s 7th congressional district beginning with the term that started in 2023.
