Rep. Cory Mills, a U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 7th district since 2023, has used his social media platform to criticize Democratic lawmakers and address national security concerns in recent posts.

On September 29, 2025, Mills stated, “Thirteen clean funding bills passed under Biden without issue. Now, because they don’t like President Trump, Democrats want a shutdown. Our troops, veterans & families shouldn’t be pawns in their political games. If they cared about America, they’d passs the clean bill to keep”.

The following day, on September 30, 2025, Mills posted two additional statements. In one post he wrote: “We must prepare for war, not because we want war. Because we want peace.” “The only people who deserve peace are those who are willing to wage war to defend it. That’s why pacifism is so naive and dangerous, either you protect your people and sovereignty or you will be https://t.co/YyOajY8DLX”. Later that day he added: “Democrats need to come to their senses. Playing political games with our security, economy, and border isn’t leadership — it’s sabotage. America comes first. It’s time they remember that.”

Cory Mills assumed office after replacing Stephanie Murphy as the representative for Florida’s 7th congressional district in 2023 (https://www.congress.gov/member/cory-mills/M001218). Born in Winter Haven in 1980 and currently residing in New Smyrna Beach at age 42, Mills has emphasized issues related to national security and government funding during his tenure.
