On July 21, 2025, Mills highlighted the passage of new legislation addressing the fentanyl crisis: “Last week President Trump signed the Halt Fentanyl Act into law. I have seen firsthand the devastating impact of fentanyl on our communities. This legislation empowers law enforcement to combat the fentanyl crisis by permanently classifying fentanyl-related substances as”.

Two days later, on July 23, 2025, Mills commented on recent policy achievements under President Donald Trump’s administration: “I joined colleagues at the White House to mark 6 months of President @realDonaldTrump’s leadership, delivering historic wins for America. Cory Mills was born in Winter Haven, Florida in 1980 and currently resides in New Smyrna Beach. He succeeded Stephanie Murphy as representative for Florida’s 7th congressional district beginning in 2023.
