Rep. Cory Mills, U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 7th district since 2023, highlighted several local and national developments in a series of posts on his official social media account.
On May 5, Mills praised Seminole County Public Works for achieving a significant milestone, stating: “Big win for Seminole County. Seminole County Public Works has earned full accreditation from the American Public Works Association, a major milestone that reflects their commitment to excellence, accountability, and innovation in delivering critical infrastructure and services.”
The following day, Mills commented on national security policy under President Trump with a post reading: “President Trump has drawn a clear line: no nuclear Iran, no concessions to terror. America is restoring deterrence and showing the world our military dominance—- that’s Peace Through Strength.” This statement aligns with ongoing debates regarding U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East.
Also on May 6, Mills recognized healthcare professionals at the start of National Nurses Appreciation Week by posting: “Today starts National Nurses Appreciation Week. I am grateful to our hardworking nurses for their incredible dedications and compassion. Their tireless efforts, expertise, and unwavering commitment to patient care make a difference in the lives they touch. Thank you for all you”
Cory Mills succeeded Stephanie Murphy as representative of Florida’s 7th congressional district in 2023. Born in Winter Haven in 1980 and currently residing in New Smyrna Beach, Mills continues to use his platform to address both local achievements and broader national issues.
