Rep. Cory Mills, U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 7th district, shared updates on his recent activities and recognitions through a series of posts on May 14, 2026.
In his first post of the day, Mills called for support for the families of two American soldiers who lost their lives in Morocco. He wrote, “Please join me in praying for the families of 1st Lt. Kendrick Lamont Key Jr. and Spc. Mariyah Symone Collington, two brave American soldiers who gave their lives while serving our nation during military exercises in Morocco. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.” (May 14, 2026).
Later that afternoon, Mills highlighted his participation in an event supporting military and veteran communities on Capitol Hill. According to his post, “It was an honor to join Blue Star Families on Capitol Hill today for an event focused on supporting our military and veteran community. We came together to build care kits, small packages filled with comfort, encouragement, and practical essentials for the military and veteran” (May 14, 2026).
That evening, Mills announced receiving recognition from a national taxpayers’ advocacy group. He stated: “I’m honored to have received the 2025 Taxpayers’ Friend Award from the National Taxpayers Union. With a 91% voting score, I remain committed to fighting for lower taxes, fiscal responsibility, limited government, and economic freedom for hardworking FL-07 constituents.” (May 14, 2026).
Cory Mills has represented Florida’s 7th District in Congress since replacing Stephanie Murphy in 2023. Born in Winter Haven in 1980 and currently residing in New Smyrna Beach at age 42, Mills continues his public service efforts both within his district and nationally.
