Rep. Cory Mills, a U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 7th district since 2023, recently used his social media platform to recognize the service of Korean War veterans and celebrate educational achievements in his state.

On July 27, 2025, Mills posted two messages marking the anniversary of the Korean War Armistice. In both posts, he stated: “On this solemn day, we honor the bravery and sacrifice of our Korean War veterans. As a combat veteran and Bronze Star recipient, I salute your courage in the face of adversity as you helped shape the future and defend freedom. Two days later on July 29, Mills congratulated Seminole County Public Schools for their recent recognition: “Congratulations on the remarkable achievement of Seminole County Public Schools in being named the #1 School District in Central Florida and the top district among the 14 largest in the state. This accolade is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our teachers, staff,” (July 29, 2025).

Cory Mills has represented Florida’s 7th District since succeeding Stephanie Murphy in Congress in 2023. Born in Winter Haven in 1980 and currently residing in New Smyrna Beach at age 42, Mills brings both military experience as a Bronze Star recipient and legislative focus to his role.
