Republican Jason Brodeur has won his election bid for Senate District 9, defeating Democratic opponent Patricia Sigman.
Brodeur expressed gratitude on his Facebook page on Nov. 3.
“Tonight is a victory for the shared values that the hard-working people of Seminole and Volusia Counties hold so dear. I am incredibly grateful to our team, my family and our supporters across the district. I want to thank Patricia Sigman for the spirited debate. Stepping into the arena is to be commended and I wish her all the best.”
Sigman also used her Facebook page to concede and thank all who supported her campaign.
“Thank you for your support, friendship, courage, encouragement, hard work and engagement in our fight for SD9. Gratitude fills my heart when I think of all of you and all we accomplished together. I hope you will stay in contact with me and continue our conversation.”
