University of Central Florida Athletics recently issued the following announcement.
You didn't think UCF would go too many games without dropping an awesome new decal, did you? After going with a simple and classic look for their opener against Boise State, the Knights are breaking out the script Knights logo on a football helmet for the first time ever against Bethune-Cookman.
The script Knights became a bit of a fan favorite after debuting on UCF Baseball's jerseys back in 2019, and now it will find its way onto the gridiron as well. Script wordmarks are popular across college athletics but this logo distinctly belongs to UCF, from the "g" forming a subtle sword to the "i" being dotted with the star from the school's academic logo.
For the rest of the combo, UCF is pairing this awesome decal with white helmets, anthracite jerseys and anthracite pants. This will be the third time we've seen this combo, after the Knights wore it in wins in 2017 against FIU and 2019 against FAMU. This look has known nothing but dominance, with the combined score of those games 123-17.
The dark gray anthracite gives UCF a nice option to mix it up from its usual black jerseys at home while still maintaining the sharp and battle-ready look that we come to expect from the Knights. This game will also mark the first time that UCF has worn anthracite jerseys at home since the team's win over Stanford in 2019.
In addition to the new script Knights decal, UCF will also feature a decal on the back of the helmet honoring the victims of the September 11 terrorist attacks. Saturday's game marks the 20th anniversary of 9/11.

UCF has played five FCS teams since 2016 and will now have worn anthracite jerseys against three of them
Outside of Space Games, this is the first time we've seen a brand new decal since the 2019 Gasparilla Bowl
The Knights will now have worn four different jerseys in their last four games
