University of Central Florida Athletics issued the following announcement on Sept. 9.
The UCF men's tennis team will open its 2021 fall slate this weekend at the Gator Fall Invite. They will travel to Gainesville, Fla. to take on the Gators, NC State, and South Carolina.
Action begins at 10:00am each day from the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex. UCF first faces Florida on Friday followed by South Carolina on Saturday and NC State on Sunday. Teams are set to play an eight-game pro set for doubles and best of three sets for singles.
The Knights bring back the No. 3 duo in the nation in Bogdan Pavel and Trey Hilderbrand. They also begin the 2021 fall season with three ranked singles players. Lleyton Cronje leads the way coming in at No. 70 in the nation while Kento Yamada ranks No. 88 and Alan Rubio checks in at No. 108.
Florida, who is the reigning national champion, begins the season with eight players ranked in singles play and three doubles pairs ranked in doubles play in the ITA Preseason Rankings. South Carolina comes in with five ranked singles players, including the No. 3 spot, and one doubles pair ranked at No. 4. NC State has four members featured in the ITA Preseason Rankings, one singles, one doubles pair, and one newcomer who takes the third spot.

FALL SCHEDULE
The Knights also unveiled the rest of their fall schedule. After the Gator Fall Invite, the ITA All-American Championship is set to begin Oct. 2-10, in Tulsa, Okla. while the Bedford Cup begins on Oct. 8-10. The Knights head back to Gainesville for the ITA Regionals on Oct. 21-25. The ITA Fall Nationals in San Diego are next on Nov. 4-7 while the Knights host the UCF Invite on Nov. 5-7. They then start the new year in Miami, Fla. for the Miami Hidden Dual starting on January 15.
