Veteran rocker Pat Travers will bring his non-stop, guitar-grinding music party to headline the 2023 Maitland Jazz and Blues Festival on March 31 and April 1 in Independence Square.

The two-day event will feature 13 bands on two stages, representing some of the best jazz and blues artists around. Complement all that with great food and drinks, crafts and vendors and lots of kids activities.

Admission is free. For a complete band lineup and schedule, visit www.maitlandjazzandblues.com.

Pat Travers burst onto the rock scene in the late 1970s with a loud-and-proud guitar style that is heavily engrained in the blues. He released dozens of albums and singles and widely toured for most of the past half-century. His top songs include the boogie-woogie party favorite “Boom, Boom (Out Go the Lights)” as well as “Snortin’ Whiskey,” “Life in London,” “Heat in the Street” and many more.

New York-based vocalist Lucy Yeghiazaryan – considered one of the top traditional jazz voices in her field - will perform at the Maitland Jazz and Blues Festival with the Jeff Rupert Quartet.

They will share the stage with local favorite Michelle Amato, who has performed and recorded with an incredibly diverse array of artists, including Liza Minnelli, Quincy Jones, Al Green, Sandi Patty, Jon Secada, Michael McDonald, Donna Summer, Jon Hendricks, Celia Cruz, Rita Marley, and world-renowned composer Yanni.

Other jazz artists slated for Maitland’s biggest music event of the year include the UCF Flying Horse Big Band, the Dave Capp Project, the Maitland Stage Band, Charlie Bertini and the Monster Dixie Jazz Band.

The blues stage will feature Pat Travers along with Bobby Blackmon, the Jake and Elwood Blues Revue, the Smokin’ Torpedoes, Three Forks Road, 501 Blues and the Beth McKee Band.

Mark your calendar for March 31 and April 1 in downtown Maitland.
