4.5% of Seminole County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Seminole County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.5% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 11,343 people out of the 467,382 living in Seminole County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Seminole County has decreased compared to the 4.6% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Seminole County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.3%.

Of the 242,674 people who had a job during that time, 483 were employed in the Armed Forces and 242,191 belonged to the civilian labor force.
