UCF women’s basketball announced on May 2 the signing of Jennica Suggs, a transfer from Robert Morris University, to its roster for the upcoming 2026-27 season. This marks the eighth signing under head coach Gabe Lazo as he prepares for his first year leading the program.
Suggs previously played at Central Florida Christian Academy before joining Robert Morris, where she participated in 40 games over her freshman and sophomore years. She averaged 2.2 points and 2.1 rebounds per game during her time with the Colonials.
In her most recent season, Suggs contributed off the bench in 13 games, averaging just over 13 minutes and three rebounds per contest. Her defensive skills were evident with eight games featuring multiple steals and a total of eleven blocks recorded during her collegiate career.
Suggs is also known for being the younger sister of Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs. Her addition to UCF’s roster brings local ties back to Orlando as she reunites with family in what is described as “The City Beautiful.”
UCF Athletics describes itself as a member of the Big 12 Conference with a mission to positively impact students both academically and athletically through competitive intercollegiate programs representing UCF on national stages.
