Wissam Abderrahman, a newcomer to the UCF Knights men’s tennis team, finished the fall season ranked No. 59 in the final ITA singles standings for 2025.
Abderrahman participated in three tournaments during the fall: the Carolina Classic, UCF Invitational, and ITA Southeast Regionals. At the Carolina Classic, he advanced to the semifinals after defeating South Carolina’s Charlie Swaine before losing to Max Stenzer, who is ranked No. 106.
During the UCF Invitational at the USTA National Campus, Abderrahman recorded three victories. He won against Marc Saura of Stetson with a score of 6-0, 6-3 on day one. The following day he defeated Mark Havlicek from FAU in a close match that ended 6-2, 4-6, 10-7. He completed his run by beating then-No. 32 Hugo Car of USF with scores of 7-6 and 6-3.
The Knights are scheduled to begin their spring dual-match season on January 11 with matches against FGCU and Louisiana at home.
