The City of Apopka announced on May 15 that repairs to Wolf Creek Court are progressing and are expected to be completed by May 22, weather permitting. Some work may continue into the week of May 25.
The update matters for residents as it outlines the steps taken to improve road conditions and informs them about the project’s timeline. The city provided a detailed schedule of activities and thanked residents for their patience during the construction process.
According to the announcement, Smith Site Developers began mobilizing crews in late April, which included setting up fencing, removing old pavement, locating utilities, and installing sheet piling. In early May, bypass pumping started for sanitary sewer replacement. Crews also excavated and installed Geo Grid material to stabilize the base of the roadway.
Between May 4 and May 11, workers installed a new sanitary sewer line, completed backfilling operations, and placed Aero Aggregate in preparation for reconstructing the road surface. The next phase will include installing a lime rock base, constructing curbs and gutters, as well as placing new sidewalks and driveways. Final paving work and site cleanup are scheduled soon after these tasks.
The city said that all work remains on schedule with substantial completion targeted for late May. Residents were thanked for their cooperation during this period of improvements.
Broader implications include improved infrastructure reliability in Wolf Creek Court once repairs are finished. The project is expected to enhance safety and accessibility in the area.
