A precautionary boil water advisory was issued Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. due to a fire hydrant repair in the distribution system. The fire hydrant was repaired, the system was flushed, and we have commenced taking bacteriological samples as a precautionary measure. (114 service connections were affected).

Large street signs were placed at specific intersections and this notice is posted on the county website so as to inform the customers of this situation and to provide contact information. Therefore, as a precaution, we advise that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative bottled water may be used. This "Precautionary Boil Water Notice" will remain in effect until the problem has been corrected and bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink.
