Cosmetology Scholarships Available

Seminole County recently issued the following announcement.

Seminole County Community Assistance Division is partnering with Hair in Motion Beauty Academy to provide cosmetology scholarships to qualified Seminole County residents 

who have been negatively impacted by COVID-19. The scholarship grants are $5,000 each for a 12-month program. The funds cover cosmetology kits, course instruction, 

career/job counseling and supplies. Funding is provided through Community Services Block Grants- COVID.

ABOUT COMMUNITY SERVICES BLOCK GRANTS:

The Community Services Block Grant provides funds to alleviate the causes and conditions of poverty in communities. Seminole County was awarded $390,057 in Community 

Services Block Grant COVID funds (CSBG-CV) to assist with the negative impact of COVID-19 in the community.
