Seminole County recently issued the following announcement.
REPRESENTATIVE NEEDED: The Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Advisory Board seeks a representative from the East Altamonte community. Nominations will be taken from the floor at the Thursday, February 3 meeting and a community vote will decide who will represent the area.
DATE: Thursday, February 3, 2022
TIME: 6:30 P.M.
LOCATION: City of Altamonte Springs Commission Chambers at City Hall; 225 Newburyport Avenue, Altamonte Springs
Seminole County administers the Community Service Block Grant Program funds from the Department of Health and Human Services under 42 USC 9901-9921 and Florida Administrative Code Chapter 9B-22 through the CSBG Advisory Board. The purpose of the program is to provide assistance for the reduction of poverty, the revitalization of low-income communities, and the empowerment of low-income families and individuals in rural and urban areas to become self-sufficient.
This meeting and all CSBG meetings are open to the public. The CSBG Advisory Board normally meets on the third Tuesday every other month at 4:00p.m.
Persons with disabilities needing assistance to participate in any of these proceedings should contact the human resources, ADA coordinator 48 hours in advance of the meeting at 407-665-7940.

Persons are advised that, if they decide to appeal decisions made at these meetings / hearings, they will need a record of the proceedings and for such purpose, they may need to insure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based, per section 286.0105, Florida statutes.
