Broadband Survey

1

City of Longwood recently issued the following announcement.

The intent of the study is to determine where connectivity disparities are present within Seminole County and ultimately improve broadband services to those areas. Part of the

study includes a survey and speed test, which will be available below until April 29, 2022. To yield optimal results, all residents should participate.

Seminole County conducted a Request for Proposals (RFP) to gather information needed to analyze, select, and implement the best solutions to improve broadband connectivity to

unserved and underserved communities as defined in the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). The RFP was awarded to Magellan Advisors; Magellan estimates a recommendation

will be presented to the BCC in early July 2022, after assessing Seminole County's broadband internet needs through surveying and conducting outreach sessions with residents

and community leaders.
