The City of Sanford is celebrating by recognizing "People Saving Places in Sanford."
"The history of these old buildings is fascinating when you start looking into it. The Sanford Museum offers a wealth of information and when I began this journey with the old train station I found myself learning far more than I needed to just maintain some of the building’s history, purely out of my own fascination and curiosity.
I am a firm believer in preserving Downtown Sanford’s historical aspects because I believe it is a major part of the reason why people fall in love with its charm."
