Call to Artists: Among the Oaks tree themed exhibit

Express your love of nature by submitting art for Oakland's upcoming Among the Oaks art exhibition.

The Healthy West Orange Arts & Heritage Center at the Town of Oakland invites adult/youth artists to submit 2D art of all media types, including photography to the theme of trees of all shapes and sizes, in all environments - fields and forests, marshes and meadows (and more!).

  • Submission deadline: Oct. 31
  • If artwork is accepted, the drop off will be between Nov. 8-10.
  • Exhibition will be on display starting Nov. 11 through Jan. 6 at the Healthy West Orange Arts & Heritage Center at the Town of Oakland, located at 126 W. Petris Ave.
  • Open House/Meet the Artists will be held during the Town of Oakland's Santa's Lane community event on Dec. 3.
Please submit the following information to arts&heritage@oaklandfl.gov:

1. Artist name and contact info

2. Title

3. Medium

4. Size

5. Sale price

6. Photo

Please feel free to submit as many pieces as you wish!

Guidelines:

FEES/SALE: A QR code will be placed next to your artwork if you wish to allow it to be for sale linking to your website or other method of sale. When a piece is sold while on exhibit, the artist will receive 100% of the sale but must agree to keep it on display until the exhibition ends.

MEDIUMS: 2D artwork must be able to be hung on the wall with our gallery hook system. Photography/other mediums are also encouraged.

LIABILITY: the artists are responsible for insuring their artwork. Artists must sign a liability agreement upon acceptance of the artwork. If you have any questions about this, please contact us using the email above.
