Downtown roads to be closed for various Hometown Holiday events

Downtown Winter Park roads will be closed on various dates and times for several Hometown Holiday events. Please make note of the following

road closures prior to traveling around downtown Winter Park Thursday, December 1, through

Saturday, December 3.

Thursday, December 1

44th Annual Christmas in the Park

The following roads will be closed to through traffic from 2 to 9:30 p.m.

  • Park Avenue: between Canton Avenue and Morse Boulevard.
  • Morse Boulevard: between New York and Park avenues.
Friday, December 2

Winter on the Avenue

featuring the Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony and Popcorn Flicks

The following roads will close to through traffic at 2 p.m. and will remain closed through Saturday, December 3, at noon, at the conclusion of the Christmas Parade:

  • Park Avenue: between West Canton and Lyman avenues.
  • Morse Boulevard: between South Knowles and South New York avenues.
  • Lincoln and East Welbourne avenues: between South Knowles and South Park avenues.
Saturday, December 3

70th Annual “Ye Olde Hometown” Christmas Parade

Park Avenue will remain closed to through traffic from the prior evening’s events and will reopen at the conclusion of the annual Christmas parade.

The following roads will also close at 6 a.m.:

Park Avenue: between Webster and West Canton avenues.

  • New York Avenue: between Canton and Webster avenues.
  • New England Avenue: between Center Street and Capen Avenue.
  • Side streets at the Park Avenue intersections along the parade route.
