The House passed the FY24 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) to deliver on our commitment to our brave members of the armed services.
This year’s NDAA combats wokeness in our military, counters CCP aggression, increases oversight of the Biden Administration, provides assistance to servicemembers wrongly discharged for refusing the COVID vaccine, strengthens our strategic deterrence, and provides for our military families.
I’m pleased that more than two dozen of my initiatives, including the removal of DEI offices, that will strengthen our armed services are included in this bill.
As an Army Combat Veteran and member of the House Armed Services Committee, I understand the importance of prioritizing our military focuses on lethality and readiness. Under this administration, our armed services have focused more on counterproductive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives than what matters most: standing up to our adversaries and protecting our servicemembers.
It’s unfortunate that our Secretary of Defense and other Biden Administration appointees are politicizing our military by pushing a woke agenda.
Learning gender pronouns while our adversaries envision ways to attack the United States is not a recipe for success. I can assure you, DEI initiatives are not a priority for our adversaries like China and Russia, and we will not keep our nation safe by out-pronouning our enemies.
As a member of the Armed Services Committee, I look forward to continuing the fight for our brave servicemembers and their families.
