For far too long, we’ve allowed politicians to utilize procedural rules to run away from debates that would allow the American people to hear both sides," said an unknown speaker.

The speaker explained that they voted against a Motion to Table, a procedural tool that would prevent consideration of the Motion to Vacate. The reason behind this decision was to ensure that both sides of the story are heard and that there is a debate on the Motion to Vacate.

The speaker further clarified their stance by stating, "I voted against a Motion to Vacate because my goal is still the same: 12 single subject appropriations bills that get the necessary cuts with good conservative policy, secures our border, turns our economy around, puts America first, and allows us to continue to serve and govern as we were elected to do."

However, the absence of a Speaker at this time means a freeze on appropriations bills that still need to be voted on. Without a Speaker, the House cannot vote on any legislation.

The speaker expressed concerns about the consequences of not having a Speaker, saying, "Because of this, we will now likely end up with another CR, which will continue funding for a weaponized DOJ. Just last week, I voted AGAINST McCarthy’s last-minute CR. Again, my goal is to secure the border and get 12 single subject appropriations bills passed. That being said, I agree that the Speaker had broken several of his promises by not meeting the September 30 deadline on those bills and not following the 72-hour rule. As leader, these failures fall on McCarthy as leader."

Addressing the situation, the speaker emphasized the need to find a new Speaker. "The House has spoken, and now we need someone to lead our Republican Conference and the House as a whole to deliver for the American people. What we should NOT be doing is going home or adjourning as we still have work to do."
