Today marks three years since the suicide bombing attack at Abbey Gate, which tragically claimed the lives of 13 U.S. service members.

On August 26, 2021, a suicide bomber detonated a large explosive device near the Karzai International Airport gates, also injuring dozens of others who were desperately trying to flee Afghanistan. Despite numerous warnings and opportunities to prevent the attack, the Biden-Harris administration and its military leadership failed to protect these brave men and women. This anniversary is a harsh reminder of the profound failures and series of mistakes that occurred during the Afghan withdrawal.

"It was an honor to stand alongside the grieving families today and pay tribute to the fallen."

"August 26th will always be a day of remembrance for the brave men and women we lost. Let us say their names, honor their sacrifice, and lift their loved ones in prayer."
