City of Longwood recently issued the following announcement.
UPS is always looking for ways to optimize their operational processes and infrastructure to support our Customer First, People Led, Innovation Driven approach.
The company recently completed an expansion project at the UPS facility located at 1050 Bennett Drive in Longwood in time for the peak holiday season.
The expansion allows UPS to further optimize package flow and gain additional operational efficiencies that will benefit its customers in terms of pickup and delivery times as well as meet future growth in the City of Longwood.
Some of the highlights of the facility expansion investment include:
•The addition of 55,586 square feet •Adding 100 additional package car positions •Adding 9 additional inbound doors •Creating additional tractor and trailer staging positions •Optimizing package flow systems •Increasing volume capacity •Creating 20 new jobs that provide competitive wages and benefits package
With these enhancements, UPS will continue to provide world-class service and deliver what matters to our customers in Longwood and the surrounding areas.
