Business Person of the Month

3

City of Longwood recently issued the following announcement.

At the February 21, 2022, City Commission Meeting, Deputy Mayor Tony Boni nominated Kristi Uribe, CEO/Owner of Nan & Pop’s Ice Cream Shop located at 351 N. Ronald Reagan Blvd., Longwood, FL 32750, to receive the Business Person of the Month Award for March 2022.

Nan & Pop’s was opened a year and a half ago after Kristi helped her husband run a successful alarm company for over thirty (30) years.  Kristi and her husband have been living in Longwood for over two (2) decades. After their four (4) children grew up and had children of their own, they decided to open a business to keep Kristi busy. They felt Longwood would be a perfect spot for an ice cream shop. They have dedicated the shop to their seven (7) grandchildren and the signature creations are named after each one of them. Their staff promises to provide customers with excellent services and quality products. The shop also offers both private events hosting at the shop and catering services.

Kristi has been an involved contributor to Longwood events and has sponsored the Longwood Monster Dash, Badges, Barbers, and Burgers, and the Bradlee-McIntyre House. She has also donated to numerous schools in Seminole County. Her involvement with Security Center Networks included many charitable events such as those with The Ronald McDonald House and Habitat for Humanity.

Kristi is family-oriented and her family is the drive for everything she does. After her diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis over twenty-five (25) years ago her family keeps her strong. She loves meeting new people and wants to be a part of making our community a place you would be proud to live in.

The City of Longwood is pleased to have CEO/Owner, Kristin Uribe, and Nan & Pops Ice Cream Shop as part of its business community.
