The City of Winter Park in partnership with Orange County, is issuing a precautionary alert for Lake Killarney due to potentially elevated bacteria levels due to a privately-owned lift station failure located on the east side of Lake Killarney. Please refrain from all recreation, irrigation and fishing until further notice.
Lake samples will be collected Thursday, July 21, and again on Tuesday, July 26. A notification will be provided as soon as the water samples return to normal levels. For more information, please contact Lakes Division Manager Joey Cordell at jcordell@cityofwinterpark.org or 407-691-7829.
